Technology blogging February 18, 2009

Posted by evilzenscientist in : evilzenscientist , trackback

I came to the realisation that I’d not blogged about technology for weeks on this site – and for months on TechNet.

The problem I’ve got is that most of the work with partners is still not released and is under NDA. That really makes for a slow blogging period.

We’re approaching Microsoft Management Summit and some of the partner work is now in beta. I’ll make sure to blog on the System Center Operations Manager R2 Cross Platform Management extensions and the partners involved in that soon.

Martin,

People valued all of your views, not just on parners. You gained a following and sucess at Novell based upon this. The product set was partly a reflection of your attitude not vice-versa.

Whatever your opinions on yourself, I think your lack of visibility has undoubtedly been perceived as at best a loss and at worst a refelction of your “sell out to Microsoft”.

May I suggest getting back into the swing of things but bear in mind that opinions, comments, suggestions and views that are aimed at companies, consumers, influencers and implementers are every bit as valid to Partners. At the end of the day the channel should reflect the needs of the customer base it serves and your input to one will also better serve the other.

Striking a balance is always difficult but perhaps a wider “take” on thinks with more specific relevant input where apropriate may be a good way to go.

Just my two cents / 1p / 0.6 euro

Hi Tony ;)

Thanks for the comments – as you can see it’s been pretty busy with non-bloggable work.

Working on getting more regular content out there.

Someone once told me “blogging is like a marathon, you need to keep going”

Good luck with the next run you are about to start :-)
