Fedex 2 day delivery November 5, 2007
Posted by evilzenscientist in : evilzenscientist , trackbackI hate it when Fedex leave my parcel at the sorting depot for a day; just to meet and not beat the 2 business day delivery.
The parcel //could// have been delivered today – 5th November – but that would be next business day.
As a customer I’d be //really// happy if I got things early.

that’s actually not true…i worked for Fedex. What happens is that all the overnight and 2nd day stuff gets shipped in the same plane, but in different containers. The overnight containers get unpacked that night, but the 2nd day containers are left to be unpacked the next afternoon. We don’t have enough people to do both. Basically, when you pay for overnight shipping, you’re paying for the package being unpacked that night, not the next afternoon.
