Why does the GroupWise 7 client for Windows have a default install to c:\novell\groupwise?

heh, that’s history… a long line of it - and you’d think that it would have changed by now.

Other oddities are in the way Novell products use the ‘Program Files’ directory and the way that they build menu’s in the Windows menu system.

Take a careful look at the different ways that iFolder, iPrint, the Novell Windows Client32 use the menu’s and the Program Files directory… all different, very disparate and non-standardised.

In the same breath, think about client agents built by Novell and ask yourself where they place log files.

It’d be nice to see an internal standard being built and applied across the board - even backported… would sure help support engineers a lot!

Mine was a rhetorical question :)
