Relatively painless – and great performance!
I’ll write up some better notes – but my first impressions:
- - need to understand more about the cloud storage service and blob storage
- - build and assembly of the Azure VM is done offline
- - PHP on Windows + IIS works well so far
- - SQL server (specifically SQL Azure) support is great
- - new change control and update discipline for code, core, plugins and themes
